Is HHC Legal?
Since the discovery of HHC in the 1940s, cannabinoid has seen ups and downs. Initially, it was not given that much attention. However, at the beginning of the twenty-first century, global behavior towards HHC started changing. Different countries and various states in the USA legalized CBD and medicinal cannabis. This limited version of legalization is also on the verge of change. Now many countries are thinking about decriminalizing recreational use.
However, as HHC is new to the world, complexity surrounds its benefits, side effects, and legalization. Experts believe that HHC is legal under The 2018 Farm Bill in America. The condition is simple; it must not contain more than 0.3% THC. However, a few have different points of view.

In which US State is HHC Legal?
The 2018 Farm Bill brought a revolution in the world of cannabis. The bill allowed hemp farming and its derivation only if THC contents were kept below 0.3%. This broader hemp legalization opened doors for the de-scheduling of all hemp derivatives. These substances include salts, acids, cannabinoids, and hydrogenated forms. However, the lesser than 0.3% delta-9 THC condition applies to each product.
Therefore, many experts say that HHC should be considered legal in The United States of America. However, it is more complex than it seems. We should consider the mode of HHC's production for a detailed description. Whether HHC is natural or synthetic opens a new Pandora's box. Anecdotal evidence proves that HHC occurs naturally in hemp. However, the amount is too low to be extracted commercially. So, it has to be made synthetically to meet the demand.
According to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) published by DEA in August 2020, all the synthetic THCs are schedule-1 substances. As HHC is also an isomer of THC, it might be illegal. On the other hand, it should be legal when derived from hemp.
Moreover, the legal state of HHC also varies from state to state. For example, following HHC is permitted in the following states.

Is HHC Legal in Canada?
Canada allows the recreational use of cannabis under specific age restrictions. These restrictions might vary in different provinces. Generally, people aged 18 years or above can have access to cannabis. Although Canadian law does not explicitly mention HHC, it is likely legal. However, the rule is more complex. The Canadian government prohibits the transportation of any cannabis or CBD product. HHC also comes in the category. Therefore, it is better to consult with the concerned department or personnel before importing or consuming HHC in Canada.
Is HHC Legal in South America?
The South American countries do not specifically mention HHC in their laws. Therefore, we have to look at their laws about medicinal and recreational laws. The cannabis laws in South American countries are complex. Some countries allow only medicinal cannabis. Some allow both medicinal and recreational, while in others, both are illegal. In countries like Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru legalization of medicinal cannabis is under process. These countries allow therapeutic CBD at varying conditions for THC contents. Therefore, HHC might be legal in these countries if THC contents are accordingly. However, you should check the law in the relevant country before deciding. Both medicinal and recreational cannabis is allowed in Uruguay. Therefore, we can say that HHC is also legal here. In Venezuela, Guiana, Falklands, and Bolivia, cannabis is illegal in any form. Hence, HHC is also not allowed in these countries.

Is HHC Legal in Europe?
Like America, the legalization of HHC is also technical. Most European countries allow cannabis products with varying percentages of THC. For example, UK and Malta allow less than 0.2% THC, and France legalizes no more than 0.3% THC. Therefore, HHC products with an appropriate amount of THC should be legal. In countries like Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria, HHC is generally considered legal. While in countries like Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, HHC might be illegal. Because these countries do not allow any form of cannabis or its derivatives.

Is HHC Legal in Asia?
Most Asian countries have strict rules about cannabis and CBD products. Almost all countries prohibit recreational and medicinal cannabis. Thailand is the only exception that allows the use of hemp CBD. Therefore, we can assume that you can consume HHC in the country. However, be careful if you are from any other Asian country. In countries like Germany, the Czech Republic, and Austria, HHC is generally considered legal. While in countries like Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, HHC might be illegal. Because these countries do not allow any form of cannabis or its derivatives.
HHC LAW Conclusion
In some USA states, HHC is considered legal. However, it should be hemp-derived with less than 0.3% THC. It is also likely to be legal in some South American and European countries. However, these countries do not specifically mention HHC. The same is the condition in Canada. On the other hand, it might be illegal in most parts of Asia except for Thailand. It would be better to recheck the laws in your state or country before selling or purchasing HHC. While in countries like Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, HHC might be illegal. Because these countries do not allow any form of cannabis or its derivatives.
